Question for ST holders - Will you renew next season...
... if we stay up?

Cue heroes coming out with "I'd renew if we went down to the conference blah blah blah"

Virginia, my old next door neighbour was a Liverpool fan and had a season ticket over the Boleyn for a couple of seasons. Wouldn't surprise me if he had one over the new gaff.

Kidders - that place will never improve. As with others on here i just sat in my seat every game surrounded by popcorn tourists and young families thinking ' what am i doing here?'. Packed it in after the Boro game after 53 years. Aways every now and again only now.

In his case his son wants to go to some football games.
And given he is 10 I suspect he probably wants to watch the BIG teams. I suspect the game they came to was Arsenal and the next will be Man U

I don't understand it either but that's the MODERN WORLD

And it does us no good having disinterested tourists in the place.
It doesn't explain the atmosphere but it doesn't help.
It won't happen but we need a major rethink about our ticketing

Re: Question for ST holders - Will you renew next season...
VH, Good question but I know two blokes who have season tickets for themselves and their sons. Both kids support WHU but their dads are a Chelsea and A spurs supporter.

This was the case for the three previous seasons. This sort of thing, up in the main stand was not rare.

Why would you support another team and buy a ST for a different team?

Re: Question for ST holders - Will you renew next season...
Got a message from a bloke I used to work with asking if I wanted the tickets he has for him and his boy this Saturday.
He is a Man City fan and said they've been to one game so far.
Sounds like it's more common than thought & explains the empty seats for the likes of Burnley.
Can't imagine a lot of people will do this long term .... will probably move on to getting Wembley season tickets for Spurs or Chelsea once they get bored after this season.

Re: Question for ST holders - Will you renew next season...
Couple of mates of mine got season tickets with their kids, talk about envious. However, after going again last night I can honestly say I will not be that bothered if I step foot in there again which kills me as been going since the 70s.
I keep returning thinking it will get better, unfortunately not.

Re: Question for ST holders - Will you renew next season...
I know of three people definitely not renewing however our results go. Two of them, an ageing couple, always drove up and parked in a close relative's driveway just a 5 minute walk from the old ground. The change in journey, walk involved and the overall time it takes has persuaded them to call it a day a couple of season's short of what would have happened if we had not moved.

The other person has been a season ticket holder on an off for years so no real surprise if he does not renew. l've a suspicion he'll keep his seat but punt it out to relativesthough as it happens from time to time.

To be fair, been to loads of games like Burnley at the Boleyn over the years and the atmosphere has been fucking shit. The new gaff ain't great but hopefully things will improve over the next few years.

Its the fucking worst football ground ive ever been to, even plough lane was superior to the cuntbowl. I was in 226 and i couldn't tell you what happened up the other end. As for the atmosphere! Its non existent, the place sucks the life out of the game. I seriously believe it will prove a disaster moving to the place.

Whitester, hating the stadium and supporting the team are two different things.

Of course moaning won't change anything. I mean, moaning won't make the stadium morph into a football ground with a bit of character, will it?

Johnson 1:50 Thu Dec 15
Re: Question for ST holders - Will you renew next season...
Yep, everyone who doesn't like the stadium is poisonous and has no life.

Comfort yourself with that when the place is half empty all next season whitester, don't for one minute think who or what might have caused it, just lazily brand folk. Arrogant cunt.

Re: Question for ST holders - Will you renew next season...
I will be. I really like the new stadium. I had a really good night tonight. I know the football wasn't the best but again had a good night.
It's easy for the poisonous no lives to bitch and moan but it won't change anything. Support our team or don't.
